How These Numbers Are Calculated
- Filing fee is the state's fee to file the LLC's formation document (standard, not expedited).
- Recurring / yr = annual report fee (halved where the report is due every two years) + any franchise or minimum tax listed by the state.
- 5-year total = filing fee + 5 × recurring. It excludes newspaper publication, a paid registered agent, business licenses and income taxes.
- Each state links to its official source and shows when we last verified it. Fees change — confirm on the state's site before filing. Spot an error? Email support@openchamber.io.
